PRIVACY POLICY

This document describes the Privacy Policy for ptaylorlegal.com (the “Site”), a website owned and operated by P. Taylor Legal, PLLC (“PTL” or the “Firm”).  As part of the normal operation of the Site we collect and, in some cases, disclose information about you.  This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through the Site about you and what may happen to that information.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means.  By using the Site and accepting the Terms of Use, you expressly consent to our use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Terms of Use.

1.     Information We May Collect

Personal Information.  We may collect personal information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.  Personal Information may be collected by us and our service providers based on information you voluntarily provide.  We may also receive your Personal Information from other sources such as public databases, social media platforms as well as from third-parties.

Your Usage of the Site.  We automatically track certain information about you based upon your use of the Site.  We use this information to help us better understand your interests and how to tailor our services.  This information is compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis.  This may include information such as how you came to the Site, the type of device you are browsing with, your internet browser, your operating system, what pages on the Site you viewed and your IP address.

Cookies. In addition, we use “cookies” on certain pages of the Site.  Cookies are small files that can be used to track a user’s steps or automatically generate a user’s password.  Some features of the Site may only be available through the use of a cookie.  Cookies can also help us provide information which is targeted to your interests.  Cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on our site.  Most cookies are automatically deleted at the end of a session.  You may decline our cookies if your browser permits, although your use of the site may then be restricted.

2.     How We May Use Your Information

Personal Information Use.  We may use your personal information: to respond to inquiries; send you newsletters, blog posts, legal updates or other similar informational offerings; to keep a record of your contact information; to send administrative information; to provide services; and for our business purposes such as data analysis, tailoring our services, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and operating and expanding our business activities.

Dispute Resolution. We use information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Site, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our Terms of Use.

3.     Disclosure to Third-Parties

Affiliates, Service Providers and Third-Parties.  Your Personal Information may be disclosed: to our affiliates for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Policy, consistent with our goal of providing the highest level of service; to our third-party service providers that provide services such as website hosting and email marketing; and to a third-party in the event of a reorganization, bankruptcy, merger, acquisition or disposition.  We do not sell or rent any Personal Information about you to any third-party.

Other Potential Disclosures.  We may, in our sole discretion, disclose any information about you as we believe necessary and proper: (i) under applicable law; (ii) to comply with legal process; (iii) to respond to requests from public or government authorities; (iv) to protect our operations and those of our affiliates; (v) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (vi) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit any potential damages.

4.     Security of Personal Information

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect your Personal Information.  We cannot, however, promise that your Personal Information will remain 100% secure.  For example, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions.  If you have any reason to believe that your interactions with us are not secure, please immediately notify us according to the contact information below.

5.     User Choice and Access

Your Choices Regarding Our Use of Your Personal Information.  If you no longer wish to receive marketing-related emails from us, you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such message or by contacting us by email at info@ptaylorlegal.com.  We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.  Please note that you will still receive any important administrative messages even if you opt-out of receiving marketing related emails.

How you can access or change your Personal Information.  You may request to review, correct, update or otherwise modify any of your Personal Information that you have previously provided to us, or object to the use or processing of such Personal Information.  You may do so by contacting us by email at info@ptaylorlegal.com.  We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.  Please note that we may need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes and there may be other residual information which may remain on our information systems which will not be removed. 

6.     Disclosures You Make to Third Parties

The Site does not control third-parties’ privacy policies or terms of use.  When you disclose information to third-parties on the Site (or any other website) about yourself, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that third-party.

7.     Minors

This Site is intended for adults only.  This Site is not intended for any children under the age of 13.  If you are a minor, please do not submit any personal information.
